What We Desire

We look forward to developing a deeper understanding of our place in the community and the world, our sense of social justice, our strengths and weaknesses, our biblical and spiritual understanding, and the needs of future generations of parishioners. Towards that end, we are searching for a rector who is not only a strong leader but also an effective collaborator with the vestry and other laypersons in a shared community ministry. We seek a rector who is inclusive and compassionate, and who can build bridges between different constituencies and continue healing and reconciliation. We are looking for an inspired preacher with a strong theological understanding. We also hope to find a rector who will be visible and active in the larger community as a representative of our parish.

The message of God is very simple. Love one another. Take care of one another. Take care of creation. And while you're at it, love me--love God. Do that and you will find your way. That is the core of the gospel. That is the only sermon that matters.
