Handbell Choir Reorganizing - Ringers needed!

Flag

Rehearsals will begin mid-September

Our parish had a long-standing tradition of a three octave (approx. 11 ringers) handbell choir that would play several times throughout the year. The handbell choir went on hiatus during COVID and is now ready to reorganize and resume. We welcome Emily Swett, a member of our parish music ministry team who will conduct the choir with assistance from our music director Jon Rania.

The handbell choir will rehearse on Wednesdays at 5:30 PM at All Saints' Parish Hall. Experience would be helpful but is not necessary, we can train you! Please fill out this form if you are interested. For more information contact Jon Rania at jonrania@allsaintsandstgeorges.org or call 302-227-7202.

Scouting America

Help launch the Parish Scouting America Program by joining our planning group.

Since 2010, Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) has prepared America's youth for lives of impact and purpose. The Del-Mar-Va Council has determined that St. George's Chapel is the best location in Sussex County for a new Scouting America Program.

We need five volunteers to participate in our planning group, which will become the Troop Committee for a Cub Pack. If you are interested and would like to learn more, contact Gary Colangelo garycolangelo2@comcast.net

Parish Vision Journey

The Vestry has initiated a vision journey to look ahead 5 to 10 years to imagine parish life from its current state of growth. This year-long project will build from the recently completed 5-year plan which laid the needed infrastrucure for vibrant lay ministires and parish life.

The following parishioners from every corner of our current ministries have been asked to represent and guide us: Mark Barbone, Daria DiSabatino, Helen Hoart, Rutland Paal, Lisa Scholl, and Barbara Villwock along with Maurice Seaton, a Faith Facilitator with Core Capital Campaigns.

The parish will be called upon to offer insights and feedback along the way. Please keep our visioning team and this project in prayer that we may enter the conversation with love and grace.
